pnkrcklives
Just picked up a Precision Marine Systems Counter Current Venturi skimmer (CV636). Trying to figure out what pump to run on it. Would like to run it in sump(submersible pump) . The paper work with the skimmer says to run a 750-1000+ pump @ 5' head height. That seems pretty vague to me. Some people recommend a Sicce or Bubble Blaster pump. The info on the sicce and bubble blaster pumps dont give a water flow rate only an air intake rating. I am very confused now. The tank is a pretty heavily stocked 90 gallon. So what pump would you recommend. (scratch)
reef165
Since it has a venturi on it you wouldn't need any special pump, just one rated for 900 to 1000 GPH will work just fine, maybe a mag 9.5.
pnkrcklives
I happen to have a mag 9 lying around maybe I will hook it up and see how it skims.
