Tat2d
I was planning on using a PC fixture I had in the garage, but it drove the tank temp up 3 degrees in two hours. So anyone have an idea for a cheap fuge light for cheato and LR that doesn't put off a lot of heat? Also kind of limited for space, so something on the small side would be great! Thanks, B
MVPaquatics
http://www.melevsreef.com/fuge_bulb.html Ive had good luck with these and i know other have also. I use a bulb from home depot. Ecotech i believe. Has a rainbow on the front and says simulates natural sunlight. Clamp lamp and bulb maybe 15$ little heat to none. Obviously feel free to experiment with spectrums

pnkrcklives
+1 MVP I use one of the clamp on lamps from walmart $6.99 I believe. Then just got a screw in flourescent bulb($8.99 twin pack). Been running it for six months on a reverse light cycle and my cheato grows like wild fire.

Mr S
Lowes shop light or put them in a sunny window. I had a combination of both and they rocked the macro. Don't know what space you are working with however.

Tat2d
Just got Back from H.D. I ended up with a 9 or 10 watt spiral 5k cf bulb and a small clip on socket and reflector. Cost about $10. Thanks for all of the input.
