johnsmb
I am finally getting around to replacing the stock bulbs that came in my 4-bulb t5 fixture. I am clueless about what brand to get and even more clueless about what color comination. Any help? I have a 40 breeder with soft corals and lps, if that matters. I am looking for more help with color. Most of the corals that I buy gradually change color after being in my tank for a few months - they really wash out and become not very colorful - assuming this is from poor lighting, but not sure. So, any recommendations on bulb brand and combinations? Thanks!
tanktop74
for a more blue look that will pop the color I use ATI bulbs with a combination of 2 aqua blue specials, 1 pure actinic and 1 purple plus. Bulkreefsupply.com has great prices on these bulbs. But keep in mind you must like the more blue look if you go with this combo... the purple plus helps pop the reds more.
