kschaefers
So as of now the back of my tank is a black piece of paper haha I wanted to paint it black today since I'm already doing a water change and shutting stuff off, is it ok to paint it with everything in the tank or will the fumes be to much? impur
Yah its ok just cover the tank and make sure you have plenty of ventilation. Another option for you is to use window tint. I did it on my tank it looks great, goes on super easy, and above all is removable!
kschaefers
Can you buy that at a hardware store or walmart or something?

newfisher
Window tint + 1...Trifer auto glass 541-461-7000. I used a small 4" detail roller, covered the top, opened all the windows and had a fan going to do mine. The old Liquid Sunshine owner swore when he painted the inside of his shop( well ventalated) it killed 1/2 his fish. Just use caution and mabey small areas at a time or go with the window tint. If you call Trifer, ask for Tristin, the owner. He may even come do it for a fee.

kschaefers
Ya this tint idea sounds pretty good ill probably go with that, has anyone had trouble with it bubbling or anything?
C0lin
I just used spray paint. It was a good $3 investment. Mine needs some touch up because I was in a bit of a hurry.
Reefer503
I use SeaView when applying backgrounds, would probably work with tint too. Is a liquid and is realyl easy to get air bubbles out with a credit card or something like that. Tint sounds like it should work the same, I just use the solid black backgrounds they sell. impur
I got it at walmart. Hasn't bubbled or anything in 3+ years
finch6013
If you paint it shut off your skimmer. I've heard rumor that the skimmer intake can put the fumes in the water.
