TheGooseWhisperer
I think I want to add a Barlet's Anthias, but not sure if i want to get one or a pair. I'm assuming they would be "happier" as a pair, but they would probably be happier at Sea World too so its all relative. Anyone have 2c to chime in on this? MVPaquatics
Haha i like your style of thinking! I thought i was the only one who used singular and plural in that context! What size tank? I think you are right. Probably doesnt matter. But they may be more active and/or colorful with company
finch6013
I have three of them in my tank. The more dominate one keeps the other two pushed to one side of the tank right now. They have only been in the tank a few days though so maybe they will be more friendly soon.
TheGooseWhisperer
Its only a 29g with 7g sump. Current fish have been in there a long time prior to the sump being put in so I figure I have room for more fish. I was tossing around either a pair of Barlett's or one Barlett and a chromis. In any case I get the smallest fish I can.
pnkrcklives
I had two Bartletts in my tank. They did not like each other. One died from internal parasite. Now the remaining one seems happier.
Ocean In a Box
typically they need to be in a school to feel comfortable, but putting them in such a small tank will probably not be the same effect. I've experienced them hiding and starving when by themselves in larger tanks. we have 6-7 in the shop right now and they all school and get along real well.
