oldbrownies
One of my acro. tenius corals fell next to my hydnophora and it ate the lower half (the coral is 3" tall) will the top die off because of toxins the hydnophora may have excreted in it? do I need to frag the top half off? or will it just have a dead base? fly guy
dont think fragging is totally necesary unless the damage appears to be spreading. Personally, i tend to always snip and seal wounds with glue for two reasons. One-i think it is just a good idea and always seems to help and Two- I find that corals tend to grow over my glue and shoot out a bunch of arms where i snip and glue them where they wouldnt if i left the dead area exposed
oldbrownies
so just like coraline algaes, they grow faster on the nice chemical stuff but not the rock or skeletons
