KMiller
We have a ton of live rock for our new 110. The only problem is, is that the tanks we got it from had a lot of nasty hair algae and other sorts of algae. We won't have the new tank set up for probably another month or so. Should we bleach the rock, to make it white and start over curing it, should we use vinegar and scrub it, what should we do?!?(scary)
NoobtoSalt
keep it in a tub with no lights. Once you get your 110 going get a tang and some emeralds. You would be amazed how fast they clean up stuff.
finch6013
Depending on how bad the hair algae was I would probably just cure the rock in a tub with heat, water changes, and no light.
Mitchell
Yeah I agree with the others. Put the rock in a covered container with a pump for water flow and let it sit for the month. Maybe do a water change every couple of weeks or so. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk
