MVPaquatics
I am working with a client that wants a "bonsai tuna-school" look to their 160 gallon 3 foot diameter cylinder tank. They are a fish market, and also specialize in live foods such as crab, fish etc. They are wanting a display tank that could possibly be used for food fish. Anyone kept sardines or anchovies in captivity? I think this might achieve the look they are looking for. Too bad lookdowns get too big
Nate
They have a tank like that at Monterey bay aquarium but it's quite a bit bigger than 160.
Mitchell
Sardines are sometimes used as live bait and I have seen them kept alive for over a month on boats, I don't think it would be that difficult to keep them in an aquarium.
MVPaquatics
Thats what I have heard as well...I am thinking about bait shops or asian markets. I believe most have a migration pattern and tolerate different temps/salinities. I know there are a bunch of species though. I have seen the Monteray Bay exhibit. I am thinking something along those lines just a smaller school
