Hog Head Posted February 25, 2011 Share Posted February 25, 2011 I have been using Reef Crystals for a while and I am thinking about changing to the Tropic Marin Pro. Any opinions? jgf86123 Posted February 25, 2011 Share Posted February 25, 2011 I have heard a LOT of good things about TMP salt, but, I'm fixing to pick up a bucket of the new Kent, shoot a message to Robert of OIAB an see when he's gonna do another group buy on it like he just finished up, you can't beat 38 bucks a bucket for a [language filter] good salt. newfisher Posted February 25, 2011 Share Posted February 25, 2011 Remember to mix salts 50/50 for a couple water changes over a couple weeks. madmike Posted February 26, 2011 Share Posted February 26, 2011 I agree, TM pro was the best salt I have ever used... mix some up and you will see, instantly crystal clear.... not sure it was worth the money though, especially in a big system so I am now using reef crystals and am having good results. pledosophy Posted February 26, 2011 Share Posted February 26, 2011 I used to use Tropic Marin exclusively as I could get it for free, but after switching to Reef Crystals (free salt water ran out) I never noticed a difference in my tanks. My salt mixing container is cleaner after using TM and smells less like a health food store, but I do not notice a difference myself.
