pnkrcklives
+1 on Spawning. Watch for a nitrate spike.
markdadof2
I was worried it was a spawning event. Well, my corals will be fed well. I will have a 15% water change available for the morning. The reactor is full of carbon also Anyone have experience with this?
ReeFit
yes my 24" LTA spawned for about 4 hours strait. I did a 60% water change, skim really wet and empty out the cup alot. Carbon helps a little. I had no ill effects from the event. Keep an eye on nitrates about 2-3 days later. probably would be better served to do two 15-20% water changes over a few days instead of a 60%
jgf86123
I've got an RBTA question myself, our nem seems happy as can be, gets fed 2-3 times a week, hasn't moved from it's spot in over a month, I rearranged the tank about a month ago LOL, yet it split, again, that makes like the 5th split since we got it, in like 8 months, is that normal? ReeFit
bubbles typically split if they are stressed. I have one that is about 10" across and hasn't split in over 2 years and has been in 3 different tanks but stays on his rock in the same spot religiously. jgf86123
I don't get it, it doesn't seem stressed, it hasn't moved off it's spot, it seems to like that spot, I just dunno lol.
Michael7979
I might be wrong but doesn't feeding have something to do with splitting also? Feeding= growth. Maybe feed only once a week and see if it slows down the splitting. Mark- good idea with the WC!!
