XrayGuy Posted December 17, 2010 Share Posted December 17, 2010 So I had some credit to spend at SWF yesterday and I walked out of there with my first clam! It is a Maxima and I know it isn't really bright colors like some are, but I didn't want to cough up the dough for a spendy one until I know how well it will do in my tank. IMO, it does have a cool pattern though. It's about 3" long. I put it up about 6" from the water surface so that it gets lots of light since I don't have halides. SWF said it should be fine like that since my lights are only about 4" from the surface of the water. It is fun to watch the clam close up when fish swim by and then open back up.
