saltwater143
we have had this crocea clam for 4 years now. Yesterday we got a bunch of frags and two new fish. Nothing appears to be picking on the clam and it has not opened since we introduced the new species. Tonight (about 24 hrs later) the clam is spitting out a clear and white substance. We thought that it might be trying to reproduce but we are not sure. There are some pictures at the bottom of the clam doing this. If anyone knows what this is please let us know. Brian and Nicole I forgot it has been doing this for over 30 minutes now too.
Michael7979
I am no clam expert but I would say that is spawning. Might be taking a little longer to get use to the extra movements of the new fish, just a guess. Looks ok just keep an eye on it, maybe someone else with better info will chime in. Nyles
I don't think its spawning, is your nitrate ok? If it spawned you would be in a world of trouble. Is it normal that your clam sits at a 70 degree angle like that?
