cellowithgills
My orange skunk clown has had it's mouth open for about a week or 2 now and it's starting to worry me. Anybody know what this could be? I also noticed today that it sucks in the tentacles from my hammer coral, and spits them out.
rubberduck9
hmm I have had in the past that happen to a few fish and I came to the conclusion that it was an internal type of fungus. Being that I didnt see anything on the outside. The problom with internal fungus is its very hard to treat. The best thing to do is start using a garlic gaurd or something to boost the imune system and hope the fish fights it off by itself. The sucking thing is a normal behaviour for an anemone fish. there just cleaning there host so I wouldnt worry about that.
cellowithgills
ok, so at least he's still doing what he's supposed to be doing. Is garlic guard ok to use with what I have: leather, toadstool, sinularia, frogspawn, hammer, zoas, star polyps. Coral beauty, goby, cardinal, peps, pistol, and the skunk. rubberduck9
Yup Yeah, just put some tank water in a small cup. put your food in there and add a 1/2 capful of the garlic gaurd and let it sit for 20 min or so. then just dump it in. Great for imune system and wont effect anything else. (clap)
