lucid
Noticed my Torch coral expelling some zooxanthallae, and noticed it was next to my anemone's, moved them away. Only one of the branches was retracted and expelling. Would this be the probable cause?
Rick
I doubt it. I've had anemone's against mine without any problems. Check your parameters and be sure they are getting enough light. Euphilia are pretty hardy and it normally takes something pretty extreme to hurt them.
lucid
After one hour of moving the anemone it's doing great again! Coral is stretched completely out and it seems to be doing fine.
lucid
By the way what type of anemone is that brown one i have? and could this be the cause why i got ich the first time, because it was expelling zooxanthallae? Just a noob thought.
impur
Good to hear. Might give it some food The only way you could have gotten ich from adding the anemone is from the water where it came from or whatever the anemone was attached to. The zoox has nothing to do with ich, and the anemone can't get ich.
lucid
Can I just feed it By putting some Brine shrimp in one of the branches with some tweezers? Garlic or no garlic
impur
Yep! Just make sure the flow doesn't cause it to float away or any fish get the food
