dee77
what will be in the tank because you would not want to run metail halid all day here is one with atinics also http://cgi.ebay.com/48-Metal-Halide-Lighting-Aquarium-Reef-Marine-760W-New-/300480276329?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item45f6052769
lucid
There will be corals and a few fish at some point. I want to grow all types of coral.
ReeFit
U don't want just halides. Get one with t5's in it as well. Halides will also add heat to your tank possibly requiring u to run a chiller
Rick
Here's one by the same seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/48-Metal-Halide-T5-Light-Aquarium-Reef-Marine-716W-New-/290484317805?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item43a236ee6d While you can get by with just the metal halides you limit your viewing time since you will only want to run the 4 to 6 hours a day. If you use a fixture with T5's(Preferable) or PC's you can also use a lower spectrum MH bulb (10k or 12k) to help coral growth and supplement it with actinics for color.
