pnkrcklives
I have 90 gallon tank(48x18x25). I just got a 400w MH pendant setup with 20k radium bulb. I am planning to suplement it with 2 48in VHO actinic bulbs. My questions are. Is this going to be enought light? And what kind of lighting schedule would I need to run. I have mostly softies and some lps but would like to try some easier sps sometime soon any help would be appreciated as I am new to this reefing game. 414driver
That will be PLENTY of lite....I'd start the actinics on a 12 hour schedule....the halide for 8 to start...maybe increase to 10 hours if the corals show no sign of bleaching! Michael7979
One MH is only going to cover a 2 foot span of your tank, roughly.
Rick
I would either add another MH to it or use daylight vho's instead of actinics. As mentioned above one mh will cover roughly 24". I've stretched it to 36" but the shadows were annoying.
