Yes, something camera-related really makes it obvious. There is a slight color temp and intensity difference but it isn't that noticeable in person.

Yes, the Flame Angel in particular enjoys zooting around within and between the new rockwork. The Clowns are sticking to their area (I didn't change that), a little cave under a Monti cap. overcropping. The Yellow Tang just ambles back and forth, doing the Tang thing.

 

And now, all I see is the difference in brightness between one side and the other :P

I like the open look better too. I did something like when I redid my rockwork after a fish hunt instead of a complete wall. Gives the fish another place to roam. I tried to open up a little bare spot of sand in between like yours, but each time I redo my rockwork, I end up with some on the sand betweeen the hills.

I did the same on my tank. One main reef side witha small island off to the right with LPS and softies only. I like the channel idea in between and the fish love it. Nice job.
