ringwurm
What kind of lights was it under before and what lights do you have it under now?
jennyf78
it was under MH and now it is under PC. none of my other corals have this problem and almost all of the others are from the same shop. (meaning same lighting situation).
CCR
It is common for coral to change when you change the lighting. Some will morph to a compleaty different color, and stay that way. It still looks healthy, but may never regain the color you had with the different light, unless you wen back to what you had. As from the pic, the shroom showed no difference in color. jennyf78
the fish store had MH but it was so far up from the tank like 2 feet i guess is still makes the difference. thanks for the replies. i would love to go to MH.
mister crabs
MH on a 10 gallon is hard to do. Heat is a big issue and you either end up having to get a chiller (spendy) or having your lights like 2 feet above the tank (blinding ) maybe look into some nice T-5's like a TEK fixture. They make a 4 bulb 24" setup that would work great.
CCR
Or time for a bigger tank
reefboy
hqi pendant will work on a ten gallon put at least a foot above tank, bings its open less probs with heat and beings its a pendant no blinding lol.
impur
Put a 70w MH on that, use a couple T5 for actinics and you can keep anything. Try putting that coral high up in the tank. It might get its color back. Its pretty normal for corals to turn brown under PC after going from MH.
mister crabs
A HQI pendant would work...i personally like the light to stay in the tank and not the rest of the room though. even a foot above and it would light up mostof room...lol

impur
You can do a 70w MH retro for $50 or so. I made a DIY pendant for 70w MH and it cost me about $65 total.
