Algae
I've seen information that salt when mixed in less than bag or bucket size can skew the Mg, Alk, and calcium ratios. I would like to mix up salt and keep it heated and aerated for 3 weeks to a month. Would this be OK? I could see the Alk possibly declining but the calcium and Mg should be in line? Whatcha think? jgf86123
Maybe if you drop a few drops of oil in it, you can claim a private natural disaster and get some bail out money Franklin..... Algae
Mick. If I found some road tar and threw it in my tank I, possibly, could have a contemporary Florida Keys biotope? Quite possibly Franklin, quite possibly indeed. And if that is the case, you can file for federal disaster relief............. I wonder is someone would actually attempt to do that.......FEMA would probably award it to em too LMAO

I have never done that small of amounts, i guess the best way to find out is to do one and see what the tests show. I mix up water in a 55G barrel with built in circ pump and keep it in there for 20-30 days at a time with no problems. usually stays around 60 deg in the garage, no light, and i use H2O pro.
