impur Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 My clam has not acted any differently than it has the year and a half i've had it. Currently its about half way up my 75gal tank on a tray, since i'm lacking LR currently. The light sits 5" above the tank. I don't know if clams bleach from too much light or how they decline. I wanted to put up a few pics to be sure mine is doing ok. Specifically this area right by the incurrent siphon where it shows some white color instead of blue. It still reacts quickly to shadows or being touched. Quote
Nyles Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Hard to tell from the pics. Sorry. My crocea is about 5" from the surface. Quote
drock59 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Mine has that to a lesser extent. I say its fine. Quote
impur Posted November 23, 2006 Author Posted November 23, 2006 It reacts fine and looks fine to me. It must have something to do with its growth or just creases like we get in our hands. Quote
drock59 Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 Ya i hope that its fine cuz if not them mine has a problem too. :( Im sure it is fine....i manage to always find something in my tank that I never noticed before that freaks me out. Case and point....oh and....Go Beavers. (kneel) Quote
reefboy Posted November 23, 2006 Posted November 23, 2006 mine has done this from time to time i think they expell a portion of zooathal periodicly maybe to grow a new strain maybe but always comes back, anyways thats why i hope i can make the meeting with the clam expert to get some answers to my theory's lol Quote
