Algae
I know where to get pipe flow #'s, but I need to know/get advice on flow over a coast to coast so I know how far to cut my glass down. Anyone seen online calculators? Own experience? I am doing a 17" to 141/2" semi- coast To coast with a Bean Animal overflow which can flow, I believe, up to around 1800 gph (?). I will likely choke it back. Because it is rimless I would like to keep the water level as high as is safely possible. It will look something like Charles here: http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=17462
acrylics
I'd probably cut it down about an inch or so, which would leave ~3/4" above the waterline. Depending on head pressure, a 1/4" x 1" slot should yield ~40GPH +/- so 17" should yield ~1500GPH + some for the absense of surface tension.
