CA2OR
So I am having a canopy built for my 72 which we are hoping will house my current lights. But I am interested in adding LED moonlights to increase my night lighting. What are the brightest LED's that will give me the most pop from my corals at night? I am looking for blue's as that is what I believe gives you all the glow or pop. Also what fans are good to be used for ventilation? They need to be quite and must work well to disipate the heat and humidity from the canopy.
Rick
For the fans look at some of the larger quiet pc case fans. (3 speed fans work well) They can be powered using an old laptop power brick.
vanz
I'm going to order a few of these LEDs and wire them to my canopy. http://www.plasmaled.com/high_power_module.htm
jgf86123
eric, check these out, they make for great moonlighting in aquariums, http://cgi.ebay.com/BLUE-12-COMPUTER-CCFL-NEON-COLD-CATHODE-LIGHT-TUBE-KIT_W0QQitemZ120433516471QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1c0a659fb7, pick up a power supply from radio shack or a place like that.. An adjustable voltage one works the best and I have found 1 amp is optimal..quick splice and BANG! Your in business
Mandinga
I'm going to order a few of these LEDs and wire them to my canopy. http://www.plasmaled.com/high_power_module.htm Those look really nice. How hard will the wiring be? Would you wire these to a plug, or a power source? Maybe a little intense for moonlight, but for an actinic glow on a daylight cycle...nice!
