CA2OR
So I finally fragged my Duncan's today(scary). So far everything seems to be ok but I will keep you guys posted on how they do. We used a dremel and cut right at the fork of the stock\stem This was them before cutting and this is them now I will be keeping my fingers crossed for the next couple days to see what happens. But the clowns raced back to the Duncan's I put back in same place I took them from and they started to open pretty quickly. I guess I will see tomorrow when the lights come back on if there is any loss.

impur
Nice. I need to frag my duncans as well. So it went pretty easy? How deep do the polyps go in, do you know?
CA2OR
Yeah it was pretty easy. Probably would have been easier with a diamond bit but still. What do you mean by "go in"?
impur
When they retract, how deep would you say the polyps retract into the skeleton
CA2OR
oh...quite a bit. I had a branch that was about 3 inches or so away from the flesh, that I cut at. From what I read they can retract as far as an inch or so. One guy I read about said he fragged a colony of 200 and only had 3 live.

CA2OR
They seem to be coming along quite well since the cut. I am very happy. Seems also like the top colony is splitting into smaller branches so I might be able to get some smaller increment frags going here.
