The bottom of the "fingers", the "U" is 1" from the top, the water level will be 1/4" above this. Made it a little wider, just in case you have one of those long BH's, it'll fit. It's 7" x 4 3/16" x 4 1/4", 11" of linear overflow and can flow up to 700gph using 1" or a little more with 1 1/2". I'm sure you can figure out which end goes where DOH!
