Rick
I was just perusing my 85 gallon display and when doing so I spotted these in my overflow. There are hundreds of them with some reaching about 1/4" in size. Are these good, bad, part good, part bad, etc.? If bad then what action should I take? For reference the tubing is 3/4" pvc on the left and 1" pvc on the right. This is a full resolution crop from the left upper corner of the pic above:

wanareef
http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=5451&d= You got bugs and what looks like snail eggs. These are good bugs and if you don't want them, I'll take some off you hands err tank.
Rick
So I'm guessing the little spirals are snails? There look to be a few varieties of the rest. I figured these were good but I wanted to make sure. Wonder if I should scrape a few loose to let them overflow into the sump?
Rick
Oh, and does this mean I may be able to get a Mandaran in a few more months?
Cannedmulder
Looks like you have several things in there! Some looks like sponge, some look like filter feediers (like squirts) some look like snails and some look like pods. All good and no need to get rid of them. Pods are the only thing mandrins will eat. None of the others!
fishmanmike01
The little cones with the fan on top are pineapple sponges and the spirals are small feather of sorts, cant remember the name at the moment and the branching stuff are also a sponge. All good stuffs not to worry.
