reef165
That is cool! Wondering though so do all our corals have eggs in them and just dont know when to let them go do to not having a acurate luner cycle in the tank? How hard do ya think it would be to set up a moonlight to mimic the lunar cycle? dimmable to simulate the intensity of the moons light throughout the cycle. cheri!
Well, i know that the coral respond to the gravitational pull from the moon. -when everything aligns up just right. Not from the light of the moon. Any moon-lights that are for sale are only for aesthetics, not for coral spawning. But setting up a light cycle is very easy. You can even set the lights for a 7pm-12am light cycle, if that suits your viewing needs. -for instance, we may get home later in the day, so we want to view the tank when the lights are on. Some people think they have to set their lights to an earlier light cycle, which is not necessary. The corals will get used to a later cycle.
