Wall framing question

If you wanted to frame a temporary room in your garage (concrete floor), how would you secure the baseplates? When I put up a permanent wall in the basement, I used a Hilti nail driver but I want to be able to pull down the walls in the garage if I ever sell the house... and those powder driven nails aren't *ever* gonna come out. Do the baseplates even need to be held down? If I framed each wall separately and then just bolted them together before drywalling, would that be safe/secure/legal?

They will be fine without anchors, you can use some construction adhesive in spots to help hold them. If the walls go up to the ceiling joist you can wedge them to hold them in place. There are also anchors that you can drill then screw into the floor with an impact wrench and they come right back out, we used these to hold down pallet racking.

I was thinking of just putting in a false ceiling -- there's garage door rails up top.. Thanks for the advice, not sure I wanna drill. I suppose I could fill the holes if I took down the wall.
