Recommended Posts

Hello everyone! I haven't done a tank build in awhile but I am in the process of building myself my dream tank and I want to share my fun with my fellow reefers!:) not the best at remembering and updating but I'll do my best to keep it updated if I have people interested in watching it progress.

Okay so unfortunately I didn't take before pics so I'll explain what I have done and we will start from there. From now on I will take pictures of everything:)

When I first got it there was a lot of scratches and the stand was destroyed. I have completely remodeled the stand and I buffed out most of the scratches with cerium oxide worked great btw for anyone wondering!

As you can see all of the holes in the bottom. On this tank I'll be running a closed loop setup!

Here is the plumbing so far. Still a work in progress but the closed loop is completely plumbed running a jebao 6000 pump!

Recently for skimmer I purchased a bubble magus curve 7 I'll take pics when it arrives. I'll be running a mag 16 for my return and am still trying to decide what I want to use for a pump in the tank any ideas??

Very nice build! Is the tank going to stand in the middle of the room like that? To be seen from all four sides?

Went with the bubble magus curve 7 fits perfectly in my 10X10 area for it:)

Also got a little adjustable stand for it

I'll look into it Matt thank you for letting me know! I've seen them run external before but if it because a problem then it just an excuse to upgrade;)

Thank you for the info Matt after reading a thread on Reef Central looks like there are a lot of people running them externally with no issues and also jaebo says it is okay to run their pumps either way. We will see tomorrow I guess!:)
