In general, dottybacks are innately malevolent. Psychotic almost
Here is Scott W. Micheal's description of it:
"This small dottyback can make a stunning piscine focal point in a nano-reef. Likely to bully smaller, more docile fishes and will often dispatch ornamental shrimps and will even attack mantis shrimps...."
I agree with that sentiment.
I had an orchid dottyback that would undo my sandscape and spit the unwanted sand on my carpet anemone while my clownfish cleaned it.
Never again.

perhaps it's an infection or organic substance in the water column that is irritating them?
If the ICP results are within acceptable ranges I would assume it's something the ICP test isn't seeing or testing for.
Your alkalinity could also be playing a role in this, but I am not sure as we are looking at a lot of data so maybe the graph makes it look more volatile than it really is.
I don't have any acros or sps in my tank so I would personally wait for someone who has gone through something similar and could provide more insight as to what it could be!

Before assuming the EB832 is bad, have you confirmed the EB832 output is programmed properly? I assume you'd want this output set to "Always On" and let the ATO turn itself on and off as needed.
The output is set to “on” on all my outlets
The EB832 does provide power to all my devices on all the outlets but for some reason my ATO and pump won’t get power
i moved the ATO to the outlet my reef light is connected to and even then it won’t power on
i submitted a support ticket to apex yesterday, hopefully they can at provide some insight as to what it could be

Is the pump making any noise? It's likely clogged or stuck. Try spinning it while it's on and see if it kicks. Ato pumps fail alot this way, even more if you have it in kalk.
Unfortunately, the pump isn't making any sort of noise, I connected the pump to its own outlet on the power bar as well.
I don't believe the issue is with the pump or the ATO anymore but more with the power bar as my ATO doesn't light up at all unless I connect it to any outlet not connected to the power bar 😞
-
The outlets are functional as my lights power up when I move them into the other outlets
The power supply and ATO are functional as they power on when I connect them to a power bar connected directly to my outlet.
I'm at a loss as to what it could be, I have tried 3 different power supplies each made from different brands. I am using an Fzone ATO https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083JG8HWT/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I recently had to temporarily decommission my setup to drill my tank as my HOB overflow lost its vacuum and flooded my room, unfortunately, saltwater did drip into the outlet and shorted the outlet aside from that there haven't been any issues with the power bar, could this be the reason for the ATO not getting power? -
I unfortunately broke my 55 gallon cube while trying to drill it, so i've been looking to replace it.
Do you have the dimensions for the tank? -
I should be able to make it!

My favorite is the green polyp toadstool due to how large it grows and how it moves with the flow!

I am 100% not an expert in anything related to his hobby, or anything else for that matter. But I would suggest not introducing these to your display tank. Once they're in, they're in - and I don't know if they fill a niche that you can't fill with something else less impossible to get rid of. BUT - mine are the white/grey kind and they don't seem to hurt anything. They're in my invert QT so I've put all types of corals in there with them.
Oh okay! If it’s cool I’d like to get some from you!
i have a second empty tank I’ll place some heathy zoas in there and see how they do!
are you available today?

I'm in NE portland and I will happily give you dozens from my invert QT tank. They're mostly pretty small but there are a couple larger ones. They're all over my glass at the moment so relatively easy pickings.
I’m interesting in expanding my clean up crew would you recommend these in a reef tank? I’ve read that the brown ones will go after weak/dying zoas, do yours do this?

It appears Vaseline isn't reef safe.

I am not a professional but I would recommend another citric acid wash but with the pump being powered on in the solution for 2 days just incase there is still something stuck in the pump.

It's fine for a bit. Especially if you burn through it slowly. I go through a whole canister per 100 gallon 😞
Thank you for mentioning this!! I had no idea resin could be reused!
I'll have to give that a try once my TDS starts going up! -

I have an eshops pf-1200 and I recently busted my PVC plumbing open all the way up vertically so I have to replace it.
I’m currently thinking about using hoses over PVC using the threaded ends under the box. Would you recommend using hoses? Are there are local places that have this adapter piece?
The Lowe’s and homedepot app show that they don’t have any of these adapters
so I’m not sure where to look locally.
thank you!

20T is your best bet. What else do you plan to have in the sump? Pm me. I can maybe make something.
PM sent.
Its going to be a simple set up consisting of a return pump, fleece roller and chaeto.

i am not looking for anything fancy, I have a small tank stand so I can't really fit anything longer than a 20 gallon tall or 20 tall.
my sump area is
26"x17.5"x24"
im pretty much looking for something that can host this fleece roller. this is two inches too big for my current sump.

Here are some of the corals I am willing to trade.
- red mini max anemone
- green trumpet
- green leather toadstool
- green sinularia
The trumpet and leather toadstool I will cut as I really like the corals and I'd really like to keep them in the tank.
