They were so friendly i got to see how they make algae scrubbers, algae reactors, 3d Printed Reef items like random flow generators and SelfMixing Dosing Containers

Without a appointment or anything i just showed up to Mexico City’s biggest fish wholesaler and was welcomed in overall really nice people and very clean facilities considering the surprise visit

Makes me want to drive down there and smuggle some gold torches over the border [emoji4]

I know this place, the neighborhood l grew up in.

One of the nicest aquariums on the east coast

The new shark exhibit is really nice i sat there for hours just enjoying the peaceful sharks swimming around

Last time I was there they had a “comb jelly” exhibit. Those things are unbelievable.
 

No feeding or maintenance
Upgraded are a matter of printing it out on transparent paper
You can keep butterflies angels in a reef this is more like a dream tank

 
I thought I would let you folks know about a new online scam that is a method to get your credit card number.
 
If you google something and up pops...hey wow..that is like half price! Its likely a scam..especially of you tool around the website and see other items dont fit into the same category.
 
The weird thing is the website must crawl around for items and then just show ridiculous prices on their website. I saw a jet bandsaw for like $200 and today i saw a jebao apex module for $14.

Where is this  being built?

I love projects like this.   Post more pictures.   And keep us up to date.

Im so happy to be part of this build

Today i helped with plumbing one of the coral raceways 400+ gallons with three “tubs” and one xxl custom glass sump

Plumbing is two 1” drains and a 3/4” return each they are connected through the sump so any of the “tubs” can be closed off and used separately without the sump

Pump is just for cycling and will be upgraded to a proper sized pump once it’s all running

The cycle might start in a bin or in these tubs it will consist of Dr Tims and bio blocks (not sure what type)

Oversized skimmer (not sure yet what type)

Led and t5 lighting

Some type of wave maker for flow

Some type of rack to hold frags and colonies

They will continue selling at shows and start selling online

I can’t wait until all the eye candy shows up

i am in no way Affiliated i am friends with most of the reefing community so saying they are friends of mine isn’t saying much

Once they are up and running they will become vendors here (so no names until then)

They are already actively selling at shows but they are extending in to another location to expand online

So far It is 4 coral systems they are known for selling high end name brand coral with some stunning and rare sps so can’t wait until these tanks are full

this aquarium was amazing I was lucky enough to visit while in Israel for work! also was my first time snorkeling the reef was amazing. 

Stunning aquarium that focuses on coral located in Eilat indoor and outdoor displays & a Underwater Observatory Park

Very nice. I remember talks about creating Tubataha reserve when I was in the PI with the peace corps. Very nice to see that it 8s being preserved!!
