Sorry for the late response. I will measure the light tonight.
Does anyone have any idea on where to find the Reef Octopus model? Do they mark them anywhere? I believe it is the Regal 200 SSS, but that is based on some web searching and guessing based on what I remember paying for it.People have been asking regarding any damages or scratches etc.
There is a small scratch on the glass that is pretty much front and center on the glass right at eye level. I am going to try to photograph it tonight.
There is also some water damage on the lower part of the stand on the left side. I will add a photo shortly. It is not structural and could probably be sanded down and repainted pretty easily, I have not done it because it would require draining the tank to do it. I will post pictures of the damage as well as the corals in the tank shortly.
Texts and direct messages all responded to.

I used to race bikes, I mostly ride adv bikes now. Sold my s1000rr last year. I may get a new R1 if they ever make a movistar replica again.
All pm's and text messages responded to. This is still available.

Thank you, talking to Dan on this. Sorry it took me a day to get back in and respond to the thread. I think the tank is 48 inches wide, maybe 30 inches deep, and 60 inches tall, but that is a guess.

So at the mercy of our parents, LOL. I remember taking my Wattley's turquoise discus spawning pair into the LFS in a fish bowl. It was a big bowl, they barely fit. Needless to say they were pretty surprised at the store.
Well when I found out mine were going at .40 a pop, they were dropped off in a milk jug lol.

Ok, I wasn't sure about selling the tank before and even tried to reapply myself, but I just don't have the time to maintain the thing anymore.
I am selling everything for a crazy price to just get it out. You will absolutely need 4 people to move the tank at a minimum. It breaks down into 2 pieces (tank and stand), but they are both very heavy and I can only supply myself for labor moving the tank.
$1500 gets you
1- RSM S-500 complete tank (3 yrs old)
1- Reef Octopus Skimmer (2 yrs old)
1- Niger Trigger
1- Clown (Snowflake or black ice, I forget, but its ORA)
1- Assorted Corals
1-Chiller (I think it is 1/4 horse)
1- UV Sterilizer (its a big one)
1-RO Water unit
1-Vortech MP-40 Powerhead
60-70 lbs of live rock?
+ ALL of my testing kits, and other random Reef equipment that I can come up with.
I just want this guy gone, so text me for pics/ schedule a time to check it out. I wont hold the tank, but upon receiving a $200 non refundable deposit I will hand you the corals and fish in a bucket and start draining.
Give me a call or text today. I would like this gone sooner than later.

That was how I felt about it too, but at the time I was 15 yrs old, and I had one pet store I could take them to (that my mom would drive me to lol). They had to go!

Spawning convicts are what lured me into the hobby. It was so sad after I started raising them though. At that time there was not much of a market and the fry ended up going for (very tough) feeders!.
Love how the parents take care of the babies, sooooo cool!
No one wanted mine either lol. I think the pet store gave me like $10 for 40 of them.

I thought they were all blind the way they dump sand all over your corals.

I don't need pictures, I have a great imagination. Please write descriptively.

sad sad day. It is still better than being stopped then ticketed

Seems like it could work well. I drain my sw out the backdoor into my yard and haven't noticed much die off, but Maybe the vinegar is the catalyst.

I had convict cichlids spawn years ago. It was neat to see them when I had no idea I even had a mated pair living together.

In the past I have had some really crazy corals, but times are tough and I just want to get some good growth and a nice natural looking reef.
If you have any corals you have outgrowing the tank, please let me know.
I am in Tigard, so the closer to my place you are, the better.

How old is the acrylic? It looks baked and old, maybe more like cracks than scratches, but hard to say from that photo.
I hope its an easy fix- 1

Nice set up! What happened to that morish idol?
I actually donated it to an aquarium when I took down the 180. He wasn't going to fit in my Redsea. The 180 was plummed to a 110 in my garage, so it had roughly 300 gallons of water and kept the Idol healthy with plenty of stuff in the tank to eat. I would never attempt having an idol in a smaller tank, especially one that is a fresh start. They eat some frozen, but they really like to heat what they find in the tank.
Very nice 180 but I agree acrylic is a pain to clean and love the ease of running mag float with a razor over the glass! Sorry to hear about the gold nugget maroon. Looks like an interesting looking fish!
Thank you. It was absolute murder. I may have to find a new fish friend for my guy.
Great Pictures, Tanuki!
Thank you! I appreciate it. I used to be pretty passionate lol.

I found some shots of my last set up.
This was an acrylic 180. It was a nightmare to keep that acrylic clean without scratching it all up.

Honestly,
I think that as long as they are really regulating what is wild caught vs captive bred, it is not a huge deal.
I would like to see them regulate the size of tanks people are putting fish into though

Thank you, it is a painting I did for the Wyatt Apartments in Portland.

LOL not a FS thread. I just made the comment that since I hadn't sold it, I would move forward with it
So I bought a Gold Nugget Maroon Infant with questionable health a couple of weeks ago. I was planning on being in town for the holidays, so I bought the little guy so I could monitor him. He was eating fine, but we ended up leaving town at the last minute and he died while I was gone. Not sure that I could have done anything for him had I been there, but I like to monitor any new fish that enters my system.
