i sold my complete setup on here regretted it ever sense..

so im curious if anyone would have a old setup for sale/trade

i dont know if you know but dont do any person to person sells over state lines with any gun.

its a fedral law. if you get caught.fine!!! you have to both go to a dealer and have them sighn the gun over to the new owner.

i have a well used 46g i think tank.

black base with top.

acrylic tank. top partial modified to fit over flow box.

tank is not drilled. i just tore it down today so it needs a very good cleaning. great starter tank.

i also have a acrylic sump with a center wall has a lid for filter balls too if i can find it.

there are scratches on the tank, cant really see them when filled

for tank base and lid 175.00? or tank and overflow 200.00?

NO NO NO NO When I was talking to the guys at pacific coast they told me that placement of chillers in the stand is the #1 reason that the fan motors go out. Chillers are designed to be "free air vented". We all know how corrosive of an environment this place can be' date=' there is no dening that.[/quote']

 

i was thinking, if i put a wood divider so its completly seprate from the sump and a decent fan to push the air out the back., and a screen in the front to suck the air in. would that be ok? im tight on space is the only thing..

 

i dont even wnat to use it. i hate it!! makes the room its in super hot.. before when i did not have it my temps hit 84ish in the winter time. summer im afraid of, thats why i bought it in the first place. but now im upgrading from a 46g to a 55 and the xtra 12" is where my chiller use to sit next to the 46g tank.

 

only other option, i could mabye put it under my house. run pvc through the floor.?

Ok im setting up a new reef tank. its large enough for my 30g sump and still has enough room for my 1/4 chiller, knowing the chiller puts out some good heat in the rear. would it be ok to put the chiller in the base of the tank? or no?

im guessing no because of the air intake and heat issue.. but thought id ask, and see if anyone has done it?

Id like a frag for 10 possibly two. just not shure when ill be in salem. ill pm you if you still have any when i do go?

Doing that now its in my backyard all piped up with the sump circulating. it looks very solid. i just wanted to make shure, should last me a while?

IT LOOKE TO HAVE STRESS CRACKS? I JUST WANT TO MAKE SHURE ITS OK TO USE. IM IN THE MIDDLE OF PLUMBING IT ALL NOW TO SWAP EVERYTHING FROM MY 46G TO THIS 55.

I JUST DONT WNAT THIS TO BUST OPEN ONE NIGHT AND FLOOD MY HOUSE LOL.

No Weldon won't work for acrylic to glass. Why do you want to use acrylic dividers for glass? Have glass cut and use silicone for glass to glass. For a sock holder you can build it out of acrylic and use coated magnets to keep it in place.

i have sheets of acrylic is not main reason. is it pricy to get glass cut?

what do you mean by crazing? i may be switching to a glass sump. but ill still be adding acrylic dividers would this weldon 16 still work?

Check is in the mail to the bank and waiting for it to clear and this one is done.

Im adding a divider in my acrylic sump. do i just use silicone? or glue? something i can buy at walmart? lol

im also making a filter sock bracket, im guessing some sort of glue would have to be used?

I would cut a piece of acrylic' date=' put some teeth at the top and silicone it across the corner. You could just use a stand pipe with a durso and a filter but it will attract stuff and need to be cleaned often, would look nicer if you didn't see the drain pipe.[/quote']

 

Sorry it does have the corner part already balck to match the black background. i just dont know how to build the pvc part

its only drilled for overflow. not return

i just got a new used tank. and its drilled for a overflow. on the bottom left corner. it has no pvc other than a bulk head.

do i just run a pvc pipe up and thats it? so the water level flows into the top? or am i missing something

You shouldn't need to use ph buffer. The ph is really not that important unless it gets under 7.8 I wouldn't pay much attention.

really? i havea digital reader, and a test tube with drops. says it should be dark purple. its more very light pruple/brownish that should be ok?

my kenya tree was good size its completly gone. i havea large pin cushin sea urchin. i dont know if he eats that stuff? maby whats wrong with my mushrooms turning white/clear and comming off the rock
