Hey Everyone , Most of you know JustJohnny86 Bought my 180 gal Mixed Reef System and today is the big tear down Move and Set Up.

Since Johnny has never done this befor is there any one in Vancover that would be willing to house the corals while he sets up the Tank?

I sure would hate to see all my babys die if they have to set in a bucket for to long.

There is 23 Soft Corals and a few SPS looking for some one with a frag setup tank that has room this is a just incase he does not get the system up tonight.

My system is in great health no problems or bugs.

sometimes just white flaky stuff (floats well, so you can tell it's not sand), usually more like pale tan to dark brown, depending on how concentrated it is. by the time you're done swirling the rock, that first bucket might look a bit like watered-down diarhea. not trying to diss reefsickness-by all accounts, he's a great reefer-but, it just happens. my tank was ill-kept when I took over and it was about as bad as I could have imagined.

 

Basically, if it doesn't look clear enough to drink, why would your corals (and fish) want to eat/sleep/live in it? you're mostly gonna tell by how cloudy it is. and now's the time to make sure you start clean, you don't want to tear the rock out later just to swirl it in water

I bought a garbage can at home depot (just make sure it says NSF-food safe- on the bottom), you might need a couple, depending on how much water you're working with. stick a cheap heater and a cheap pump in, salt it up overnight so it's theoretically mixed and warm for you tomorrow afternoon.

Mount a couple 6" fans in your hood it will bring your temp down .Im running 2 fans on my system useing 2 400w MH and the fans lowered my temp 8 deg

My pair of percs are doing fine in the reef tank want mate with the other fish around.

we have a sweet lips thats trying to mate with the percs but she wont have any of that. that would be intresting to see what a perc and sweetlips would turn out.

I am a member of the I left the filter sock on the rim of the sump and it cloged Club, 40 gal on the hard wood floor.
