You might as well just airlift your house and drop it on a coral reef. Nice diversity, this should be an incredible and stunning process.

Hmmm... this is interesting.

I had 6 mangroves in my 6" dsb, they started as 6 inch propagations, and grew in one year to about 3 feet. Worked great for them, I messed up on some other things though so I tore it down.

I have two soft corals that have outgrown a 40B, they are pretty darn big. One is purple the other green.

So if you live in Corvallis or Albany, swing on by and check them out, maybe they will have a new home.

At only 18 tall, and with proper bracing, 3/8 is good. 1/2 really looks amazing though.

In better news, if you can, I priced glass a 36x24x20 cube with starfire front for 270 from a local glass company. If you are a DIY'er.

I had wannareef build a 36x36x22 for me. It is lit by a single 250w Radium run on an M80 HQI ballast in a large LumenArc reflector.

Was it a glass or acrylic?

I might have to make one of my own.

I've Been looking also. There are a few guys that build custom tanks on this site and for good prices too. I'm just too much of a tight wad lol

Also Garrett at TPA in Salem had a super nice one not long ago for like 750 with tank stand sump custom built and nearly brand new

Yeah, well thought out build with quality products. This is going to be a stunning tank when it grows up. Really like the rimless tanks out there.

The LET retro reflectors have a dimpled flex to them, seem to work pretty good.

I run 4 T5's over my 40 breeder and am having great success with it. I don't keep sps on the sand but they all grow. Now that your are on the verge of changing bulbs you are going to start seeing some success. The thing about ATI bulb combos like you are considering peak at the spectrums that REALLY promote coral growth and color. If you are interested in staying with T5's and don't wanna fork over ATI module cash, google LET retrofit fixtures. Same quality reflectors, same quality ballasts, add your own fans and bam, 4 T5 SPS system with these, 6 would be boss though.

I could only fill a 40B with so much, for the last year my budget is 20$ a month. Thats only fish food, years salt supply divided by 12, bulk carbon/gfo divided. I'm sure bulbs will factor but I can't really find areas to spend more.
