  1. okay i really hate that i have to sell this but i have no choice. im forced to downgrade my tank due to financial issues this unit is about 11 months old with about 8 hours a day of use.

this plasma light single light covers my 5'L x 3'W x 2'D tank just fine with plenty of light to spare. i modified the unit to fit a lumenarc reflector. i also have the original reflector. i have this light balanced with 2 48" reef-brite actinic blue leds to give it a 12-14k look can through those in as well for an additional $350. with out them it has a 10k look. here is a link for this light 1 year of solid use out of it. its dimmable as well. very little heat not like metal halide i can touch the glass after it has been on all day.

this is an amazing light and i have a ton of growth from this . but like i said im going to downgrade to a 29g bio cube :sad1: and this light will be just way to much light .

contact me via text is the easiest for me 61nine 78eight 200three if you have any questions or if you would like more pictures.

if i dont sell this i will probably use it for my turtle tank

  2. Beth, if you have room give more 'air' to the output of the sump. That 90 degrees could be too tight and generate cavitation. This is also what is written on the Reeflo manuals and they are always right :)

With tow 45 degrees you probably only loose 2 inches of space, but your pump will be more happy :)

are you talking about the 90 on the input side of the pump? if so there is nothing bad there i have ran all my reeflo pumps with a 90 on the inlet never had an issue

  3. Yep' date=' you've earned your "wings". I havent seen that overflow design before but the air lines on the 90"s look interesting with no mods in the overflow box. I'd like to see how it turns out.[/quote']

looks like a glass-holes.com kit. i had that same setup on my 100g and the tubes got clogged and caused the toilet bowl flushing sound then i switched the the "T" style and it went away. i didnt think of the valve until earlier this year with my 120g

also if you used the bit that the kit came with i bet it took a long time to drill it? that bit is meant for glass tanks....you could have used a regular hole saw on acrylic.

  4. Beth, a quick suggestion on the drain 90's....

Use a T instead :P It's quieter...Do you remember how loud our tank was with the 90's? We put a T in place an it's almost completely silent now, just switching from the drilled like yours are 90 to the T cut 95% of the noise out.

agreed also do this to the top of the "T" to fine tune the airflow this is on my 120g

  6. okay so my corals are going through a color change after the blast of UV my whamine watermelon zoas are turning blue/purple center with the green skirts. my acro that was blue green is now turning pink. some other palys are changing and some corals are just browning out. i think the brown out is due to the whole switching the lights to plasma.

    2 questions

will they brown outs color back up?

after the corals changed colors will they change back?
