  2. F/S live rocks.

I am breaking down my system due to work and traveling. I have about 400-500 pounds of live rocks.  Some pieces are very large ( 40-50 lb).

    $2/ lb

This is from a large system.  I have a lot of stuff that I will post later when the live stock is gone.

Call or text if you are interested; or if you are looking for stuff.

    Thanks

  3. Thanks Jim ! And everyone ! I knew it wouldn't take long for someone to help out! In also need tubing for siphoning of inhale it around, does anyone have the clear window screen to make a diy cover? I can get it tomorrow of that works.

Hi Kim; glad to see you are back!

Let me know if you need anything; I got bunch of stuff laying around.

  4. The rack can be hung by our hanging kit. It can be adjusted up and down, tilt front and back, and slides left or right.

Kim, the color spectrum adjustment is endless because it has 9 different diode and 4 different channel you can adjust it to your liking. Each channel can be adjusted 0-100% in 1% increment.

More than everything, our color combination makes the water look crisp, clean and clear.

I can txt you some pics, but better yet; drop by and see my new tank.(laugh)

  5. I have post this before we had our crash; so here it is again.(clap)

    ALPHA S series demo program:

I know purchasing a new light can be a large investment. You want to make the right choice and decision for your tank.

So here it is!! The ReefStar demo program lets you test any of our lights for one week with no strings attached!(nutty)

This give you the opportunity to take the light home and put it over you tank.

If you already have a light and just want to compare; demo one out and set the Alpha side by side to your existing light to see the difference. Seeing is Believing.

See how well the Alpha series is designed, the controllability, the workmanship.

If you have an emergency and need a light; contact us and use our demo program to save your tank.

Our demo program requires a full deposit of the value of the light and will be refunded when the light is returned.

    No strings attached demo program.

  6. Here is the new ReefStar Alpha Series LEDs.

I have been working on this light for about a year and tested on my tank for about 15 months.

Now it is time to release the new Alpha series.

In designing the new Alpha series there were 3 things I had to have.

1- Looks- In designing the unit, we chose to have a one piece all aluminum unit that looks slim and sleek. Something that you would hang as a pendant and it would compliment the tank and your decor.

2- Controllable- The Alpha Series has an optional external controller that let you controller 4 different channels of LEDs. Controlling each channel 0-100% in 1% increment. Everyone like different looks to their tanks; so with this controller, the color spectrum is endless. This controller has 8 different points on 4 different channel to let you control ramping through out the day; this give you a true sunrise sunset effect. The controller also have, flash mode, cloud mode, diy mode ( let you program your own lighting ramping cycle ), sunrise mode ( preset program for sunrise- sunset), show mode ( preset of quick demo on the flash and cloud mode ), and manual mode ( let you adjust each of the 4 channels 0-100% in realtime to help with your programming in your diy mode ).

3- Upgradeable- The Alpha Series can be taken all apart by a phillip screw driver and an allen wrench. I chose this design because it is easy to work with and easy to upgrade. The body is a one a piece aluminum hone heatsink. It is one of the biggest and heaviest heatsink on the market. This is a modular design, so everything just plug and play. The driver and controller is external, so it just plug and play. The LEDs are mount on the new MCPCB not theolder pcb, this cools better and let the LEDs work more efficiently. If you decide to change out LEDs down the road with the new technology; in about 5 mins, you can change a new MCPCB with the new LEDs.

Here are some highlight of the ReefStar Alpha Series.

    - Full spectrum LED light- 9 different color diodes.

    - One piece all aluminum body.

    - Module design- great for upgrade and simple to work with. It is like a really nice DIY unit.

    - UL approved Meanwell driver

    - 4 channels ramping capabilities, so blending spectrum is endless.

    - True sunrise to sunset effect.

    - Flash mode, cloud mode, show mode, diy mode, manual mode, and sunrise mode.

    - Glass cover to protect diode from saltwater

    - Diode is mounted on MCPCB board- better heat transfer- better cooling- more efficient the diode works.

    - Brushless fan speed is controlled by LEDs intensity- so at night you with the low light intensity you will not hear the fan.

    - Light unit comes with hanging kit that can tilt and adjust height.

    - Hanging point that is able to slide for adjustments and works with the rack system for multiple lights.

    Accessories-

    Controller

    Tank stand

Rack system for multiple lights. The rack can be hung or stand on the tank

  7. Not trying to be the bearer of bad news' date=' but its not the lack of "full spectrum" that was keeping you from keeping the color. I run nothing but Royal Blue and Cool White at a 2:1 ratio and [b']every single [/b]acro I own has held its color, except my tenius which morphed, but it morphed to something I like more so to me that was a bonus.

My purples, reds, blues, greens, etc etc all hold color, and quite nicely I will add.

My purpose in posting this is ONLY becuase of what I read and that was you were buying these to get a full spectrum becuase you cant keep purple- Depends on your white LEDs are they Cool, Warm, Nuetral, and it also depends on the Blue, I hope you meant Royal Blue, if not, I am sure that was 80% the problem

    Thats my experiance

    Well said!

  8. I was looking at how you can chose your LED's but see they have a large swing you can get 10k to 14k or 14k to 20k. Don't see how they can have this swing and know what Kalvin your fixture is.

Frank...I've been reading the Chinese led thread on reefcentral for several hours' date=' lol. That thread had a guy that has tested many of these units from the different factories in china as well as building his own DIY units. The evergrow units seem to have the best build quality as they have broken them down into their components. To answer your question of the kelvin output, having the ability to mix/match my own color combo will allow you to choose whatever combo you like. I would like a "full"'spectrum like the radions that have other colors than white/blue.[/quote']

Mike, most unit would add in green and red and call it full spectrum. It also really depends on the white you use, because the white is made of different color. Different white will give you better spectrum. Look at the the spectrum graph from Sanjay on the Radium 400w 20k; it is one of the most popular mh bulb, full spectrum?

  9. Thanks for the comments guys!

You did a great job on that rock work!

It easy to tell already just from that rock work this will be fitting of your screen name(rock2) I gotta say tho (whistle) that metal band clamp I saw was a shocker to me.

    (laugh)

LOL, I thought of that metal band clamp when I put it onDOH!. I did not have any plastic ones to that fit the hose. Would the plastic one hold fine?

I only hope my tank would be as nice as your!(drooler)
