  1. They kept us off balance the whole time. Our offense showed up right before the half... and then the momentum was gone. Their trick plays and our lack of offense sealed that game. We have an arsenal of trick plays ourselves which we used to beat them last year. It's an exact flip flop of last year where they tried to play straight football and we pulled out crazy plays. We are the only team that has beaten Boise in 2 years. Unfortunately this was a grudge match and I would have been much happier playing a team that we didn't have history with. TCU is known for choking... I expected it but hoped against it. what a failed season. We still did better against them than the ducks ;-)

  2. I do not know you' date=' but you are showing that you are in Portland Oregon under your avatar, and you dislike both Ducks and Beavs. You should keep this kind of opinion to yourself no matter how happy it makes you, because you are living where this kind of opinion out loud might get you in trouble. And that is only my opinion.[/quote']

Lmao. Am I supposed to take this post seriously?

  3. My thoughts exactly!!!

With 7 Pac-10 teams in bowls we should win 5 easily!!

2-4... not looking so hot (laugh)

You were shooting for a C-, D+ average but are sitting at a 33% which is squarely in the F(ail) terriotory (laugh)

Stanford lost to a team beaten by BYU. The very same BYU that TCU dismantled at BYU on their homecoming in a grudge conference game.

    MWC 4-0

All that stands in the way of Bowl perfection is TCU needing to beat Boise. Perfect season for TCU and for MWC bowls. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared.

  4. Another PAC 10 team fell to a MWC team it looks like. I wish TCU was playing Oregon. I wish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far MWC is 3-0 for bowl games. I think we have 2 more to go.

So far the Pac-10 is 0-2 with both of those loses coming from MWC. OVERRATED!

  5. Ok so we'll go back 10 years instead of 20 since that makes TCU look better i guess. We can contort stats in our favor pretty easily, but 20 years is a pretty common time span to use in order to figure out if a team is a flash in the pan wonder or overrated. Since 20 years makes TCU look overrated, lets look at 10 years.

    2008 11 2

    Beat Baylor(3-9), Baylor (4-8), Texas Tech (8-5), Oklahoma (8-4), Iowa State (7-5) Iowa State(3-8) Big12

    Lost Arizona(6-6), Northwestern(3-8), Texas Tech (8-4), Nebraska (11-2), Texas A&M (8-4)

5 wins over teams in BCS conferences with a .500 record or better in 10 years. Sorry it just doesn't do it for me. You can only play the teams on your schedule so schedule better. TCU had 2 years .500 or under and 2 above .500 IN CONFERENCE USA!!!!

These are the facts. I'm not trying to put TCU down, they are having a great year and are a great team. I think they should be in the MNC game. But i don't think they are as great as you do, and I think my opinion is represented similarly across the football landscape for the reasons i've pointed out.

Our two crappy years were major rebuild years and we were back at it very quickly. We've only had one bad year where we were supposed to be good and weren't due to two star player issues (we haven't gone to the revolve around a star strategy since). Football is about right now... and the trajectory of our program has been incredible in just 10 years time. when did those BCS team loses occur? I'm willing to bet we beat all of that after losing to them and not the other way around. TCU is a better team than anyone in the PAC 10. That's a fact.

  6. Gotta love transitive math. Its proves..........nothing. Wait..........nope still proves nothing.

TCU is a good team but they play in a weak conference. 2 great years does not mean the system should change for TCU. Just lookup TCU head to head against other conferences. The best Pac10 team they beat, ever, was a 8-4 U$C team in 1977. In the last 20 years they beat 5-7 Stanford, 4-8 Stanford, 2-10 Zona, 8-5 U$C in a bowl game, and lost to 3-8 WSU and 6-6 Zona. Doesn't impress me much. 1 win over a Pac10 team with a winning record in 20 years. If the Pac10 is overrated, there isn't a scale for how overrated that makes TCU look. I respect that they are trying to play the games against the BCS conferences, but you gotta go after the upper tier teams, not the bottom feeders.

    TCU is:

    35-30 vs Big12

    9-9 vs Pac10

    9-11 vs Big10

    9-22 vs SEC

    2-6 vs ACC

    0-1 vs BigEast

Those numbers need to change before conferences look to pull TCU in. A winning record against only 1 BCS conference.

Take a look... TCU has had a decade of success... not two years. In that time we've gone from the WAC to Conference USA to the MWC. TCU was supposed to be a Big 12 team when the SW conference dissolved but the freaking governor at the time was a Baylor alum and wouldn't bless the deal without Baylor being in.

Going back 20 years is dumb. We were a horrible team back then. We've been etching out great success under Franchoine and now Gary Patterson. If you want to do that I should go back to the 30's when TCU were national champs.

We can only play the teams on our schedule... the sad is no one has any balls to play us.

and yes... The PAC 10 is super overrated.

  7. tcu should have gotten florida and cincy should have been playing boise. would have been more exciting.

but now you have something in common with the ducks. both having been shafted out of the bcs title game. you this year and the ducks in 01.

It's such bull. TCU vs. Florida would be an awesome game, but Tebow would probably commit suicide when they lost again. Big cry baby

  8. The biggest kick in the crotch comes from these BCS bowl announcements. [language filter]!!! I'm beyond pissed. They matched us up with BSU. We played that game last year already. Neither of us want to play each other. We want to play BCS teams and prove we shouldn't get shafted in the ratings year after year. The BCS totally performed damage control by having us play each other. They don't want us to take out any of their beloved teams and further derail the validity of the BCS. SUCH CRAP!!!!!!!!!!! I'm full of HATE!!!!!!

  9. arggg... Texas should have lost that game last night. TCU would have been in the National Championship. ARGHHHHHHH

Nebraska gave them that game. They kicked the kick off out of bounds half field. Then they gave them a 15 yard pass interference. Then Colt threw the ball out of bounds with 1 second left in the game. 1 second was enough to kick a 40 something yard field goal to win by one point. [language filter]. SO pissed. So pissed.

  10. TCU doesn't play Stanford or BJC

Get into a big boy conference and you get the big boy treatment.

We beat BSU in our bowl game last year... and Stanford last year. The BCS is such crap. Utah beat Oklahoma and Alabama in BCS bowls. BCS is an umbrella that protects the BCS schools. It's crappy when the BCS conference teams decline to play us as well. We've had 12 BCS conference teams decline to be on our schedule... and in addition to that... we had Texas Tech ask to be taken off our schedule next year. This will not be fixed until there is a playoff. College football is flawed. I have no doubt TCU would murder Oregon in a bowl game. I hope you guys end up playing us.

  11. meh team is meh... it's screwed up seeing teams like Oregon lose two games and struggle against teams that TCU beats (Stanford and Boise State) and still walk their way into a BCS bowl game... It's bad enough not being able to play in the NC when you earn it... but one loss anywhere in our schedule would have kicked us out of BCS bowl potential. Yes I'm mad. :|

  12. im happy that tcu won. but SDSU....whoop de doooo.....lol. still alot of football left to be played and I dont think either tcu or bsu will be playing in the BCS championship game without a couple more upsets. still too much SEC bias among voters. Texas looks like a safe bet tho. still rolling along. And actually looking forward to Stanford putting a smackdown on notre dame and helping charlie "butterball" weis get his walking papers. hehehe

It is a big whoop de doooo... but we really needed to show some style points to keep BSU behind us in the polls. BSU has 13 games this season and we only have 12... don't want those ponies passing us.

Us non BCS conference teams don't think in terms of "undefeated means a shot at the national championship." We think in terms of just getting a BCS bowl game. That's all we want. I think it's virtually impossible for a non bcs team to get a crack at the national championship.
