Hello all

I have A question on salinity, My tank has been cycled for two months now and was thinking about getting some frags,all test are great,with my water top off my readings have been steady at 1.025-1.026 for two weeks now, so went to LFS and had water tested they said every thing was good salinity 1.024, ok so stopped by another LFS on way home and he said every thing good but salinty was 1.030 so who do I believe and if salinity was around 1.030 what would this do to corals and fish

Hello all

I have A question about UV sterilizers good or bad for reef tanks ? I have A current usa 40 watt that came with tank, (135 gal) the guy I bought it from said he ran it only 1-2 hours A week, another forum site say's never to use A UV on A reef tank. my tank is now 6 weeks after cycle no corals. and I know to go slow but after cycle, (two weeks) bought 3 small damsels, and would like to know about UV before I start buying any corals, and do you think 8 weeks after cycle is ok ? all water test great I have two 250 MH HQI and two VHO 72 inch 160 watt lights 20 gal fuge 20 gal sump 220 gal skimmer over 100 pounds live rock over 100 pounds live sand the rock is starting to turn A cool green and pinkish color

I can get it from very fine to normal sand there are three size to select from as for price around .75 a pound I will get large amount if others are interested or just get me 200 pounds

I have been lurking about and reading everything I can about reefs, will be sitting up A 135 gal soon.

I was wondering about white sand, found it kinda hard to find here on west coast,however I have A chance to get large amount of white sand silaca free not sure if I should get much if someone else is interested even you fish store owners are interested I could pick up 1000-2000 pounds maybe even get it on A regular baises what do you guys think
