  1. Well I want to build a nano in Hawaii since I'll be moving around for awhile..

I want to hook this up to a 5 gallon how could I do that ?

I'd like a bigger buffer with portability as possible.

Without the 5 gallon bucket overflow, the water overflows into the middle then is fed into a pump that feeds each side . Each side has a locline/modular piping each side has it's own valve since the fuge(to have lots of colorful macro) side should have less flow. Can I use acrylic for the middle baffels(right word?) so I can dremel in the teeth easily, then just silicon it in since the rest of the tank will be 1/4 inch glass.

I'll be using 2 bulkheads one for each side,it would really be sweet if I could use acrylic (unless I can do the 5 gallon bucket add-on)

  2. Okay I'm moving in 8 days to Hawaii I need it gone the whole setup I'm asking much less. $210 cash I'll help with the loading of LR just provided 2 buckets and I'll get it all ready for you to take it. If your close enough I will even setup the setup for you. I had a fan issue nobody on nano-reef has mentioned a problem like mine(bad fan batch?) so I replaced both of them and replaced the splash-hood that I cracked. It is in perfect condition and I haven't had any problem other than the fans and splash-hood( I Cracked it) I replaced a few months ago IT's 12 pounds of LR,11 pounds of Lavarock and 20 pounds of aragonite LS with some shrooms.

To speed this up call me :)

I'm 30 minutes form the Coos Bay Area, and am close to bandon(Another landmark).

  3. I see your doing diagrams, prototypes and stuff not models and more complex things.

I have no clue what inventor is(never seen it) but think if it is for more simple things then that is the way to go.

For me I enjoy using Maya since it challenges me and I'm learning something that could be applied to another CAD/drafting/modeling program if there is a demand for that career(drafting/architecture??))skill in Hawaii. For now though I'm just doing small projects, like I'm working on a short(45 seconds/1 minute?) film reel that will be somewhat photorealistic and I'll be utilizing a good amount of Maya's capabilities.

  4. Maya works better(MUCH MORE CAPABLE) and it's free :D

You can do all those curves and model anything.

I enjoy organic modeling just need some people to draw reference images for me(I can't draw worth beans)

I'm thinking it works like autocad since it is made by the same company and most modeling packages(other than Z-Brush,Blender) are somewhat the same overall. If you go the maya route just focus on Polygon modeling not nurbs or subdives.

Don't go into the other capabilities(animation,shaders,texturing,dynamics...) because you will get a headace trying to understand it all but if you just do modeling for reefs and stuff you'll be very happy with it's capacity.)

  5. So we are most likely going to portland so I'm moving to Hawaii and so on.....

Anyways I'm curious on what LFS would pay the highest for my LR here's a shot of it :

    IMG_0584.jpg

I'd be stunned if a member wanted the LR and the tank but well I'm hoping the LR will sell.

So anyways my requirement is that the LFS is somewhat near the PDX airport(my dad is visiting then is going back to work in Hawaii). And if magically a member in Portland wants the whole AP 24 setup pm me/or call me (541)396-6265 (offer me a price anything reasonable )

I'd like a number of a few LFS's that you know will pay a somewhat decent price for my LR and Lava base....

And if they buy whole setups that would be awesome.

Sorry about asking I'm 16 and money is an issue otherwise if I was older I'd just go to my LFS.

  6. Alright there is basically no interest in my Aquapod setup even though the price is really low(30% loss).

So I guess I'll see if anyone wants the lava rock base and the nice LR instead of the whole thing..

I'm wanting $90 for all the LR you see(like 25 pounds total) and $10 if you want the 20 pounds of aragonite (bits of shells it's pretty neat stuff)sand too.

Here's my phone number is your interested and/or prefer to call

541-396-6265 I'm located in the Coos Bay area more specifically Coquille

Edit my title is wrong I have 25 pounds total of LR in the tank(lava plus the coralline covered rock).

If the price is too high give me an offer,if you want the whole setup give me an offer :)

  7. So I'm dead sure I'm going to Hawaii, but thats another subject though.

So heres a site/store that will be an hour from(Kona) where I'll be in Hawaii.

    http://hawaiisaltwaterfish.com/

Those prices seem pretty good,I haven't had luck calling them

(answering machine) but I'm sure they're still there.

My plan since I'll(with 5 siblings (scary) ) be in at a friends vacant house for awhile then another friend's vacant place so tank wise I'll be doing a 5 gallon with a 5 gallon bucket sump,I'll use tempered glass and I'll drill it (I know not easy). I'll probably keep some inverts(shrimp, feather dusters whatver) and a super small goby. And when we(parents) buy a house(when the Oregon place sells) I'll go out for a large FOWLER and freshwater planted tank.

  8. Alright price is dropped I was being unrealistic.

I want $275 OBO for the Aquapod 24 that is 3 months old,

with LR(part lava part coralline covered LR),

Aragonite sand, heater, stock pump and stock 64 watt PC lighting.

I will toss in a 2/3 bucket full of Instant ocean Reef Crystals salt,

heater for mixing,a maxijet 1200 for mixing salt and a 5 gallon bucket.

If anyone is interested I can provide photos of the tank(working on uploading them)

  9. Okay I'd like to see what is outrageous prices are at your local LFS,

for those who are unlucky enough to not be close enough to a good LFS(like me :) )

    So here's the 4 categories:

LPS per head $60 (for torch, hammer or frogspawn)

    GSP $30 (small frag)

$50 for a single shroom (striped like that makes a difference!))

$10 for a stupid blue devil damsel

    So beat those prices !

The only rule is your price is for a single(or double)shroom,

a blue damsel, common head of LPS, or a smaller frag of GSP.

The dude is a price gouger because he is the only LFS within 2 hours.

Fell free to share your other horrible prices :P

  10. Well CoralreefAquarist offered free frags but he got a plague of zoa eating Nudis :(

I already have 2 shrooms,a 3 inch diameter pink one and a 4-5 inch red shroom they're both very happy. So if your traveling up to the Coos Bay area(encompasses a few small towns) I'd love to buy whatver softies you have in cash. I can pay say $50-$60 in person I have no preferences,I'll be happy if you breeze by 42S and sell em a frag :) I'd love to go to Eugen but my mom is stuck with 5 kids,my dad is working in Hawaii(no work here) for 6 weeks so no Eugen or Salem trips anytime soon. So if anyone is interested here's my phone number : 541-396-6265
