  1. Glad you asked Den! I thought that it was just a slow drip-drip leak, but after filling it and checking it out it is much more serious. The entire seal along the front seems blown and the plastic "brace" that wraps the bottom of the tank is seriously compromised. It may only be good for the glass in a DIY project. Bummer...

  2. *Hood is claimed/gone* Hood is DIY and hinged. Fits 19.5"x48" tank.

Just to be clear... 55 gal leaks big time! It was outside when the big freeze hit a few weeks back. Entire seal along the bottom front is gone. May only be good for the glass in a DIY project.

I'm on the hill in Oregon City.

100% free. Just hoping that someone can use them before they get scrapped. PM me if interested.

  3. $15 shipped for two of the little buggers on www.woot.com for the next 22 hrs... (until 10pm Pacific Tuesday)

woot.com is legit and ships via FedEx Ground (at least all my orders have...)

I nabbed two just to check my RO/DI and to know when to replace the resin and/or filters.

Hope this post doesn't violate any rules I just thought some other hobbyists may benefit from this great deal!

  4. Still shooting for end of summer to have a reef setup (need to take care of some remodeling first), but I found a nice used freshwater setup that fits the odd empty space we have in our kitchen perfectly. It's going to be a planted tank and so I need more than the 40watt strip light the tank came with.

Does anyone have a cheap PC or maybe even an old VHO setup that they want to sell to me? I'm hoping for 110-250watts (2-5w per gal) with individual switches for bulbs so I can control intensity a bit. Less heat would be best, but beggars can't be choosers.

    Thank you for looking.

  5. Looks nice! I like the DIY stand and pendant mount. Glad to hear that it is cycling so nicely for you. Fun to watch your tank take shape. Snap some more once you get your sump installed.
