SteveHash-fish20
Okay so my goby jumped yesterday and I have no idea why, my dumb*** left the top of again (DOH!) and he messed himself up pretty bad couldn't swim and the snails were on there way when I put him back. Anyways, I decided to feed my maroon roonie. And he has a bite taken out of his fin?? I have nasserius snails and a peppermint. Would any of these two eat a live fish? He looks healthy I mean to me, his colors are wonderful and he's fat, I've had him for about 3 months and he's shown no signs of ich, so idk what could be wrong.... I'm kind of stumped right now. I hope by accident I didn't bring a predator in my tank from the couple rocks I got from ppl..
SteveHash-fish20
All in all not the best week by far I lost my first fish and hopefully I don't lose a second soon :(
Gill
Could be a tare in the fin. When my goby jumped it was in an attempt to escape a more aggressive fish, Hawaiian Domino if I remember right. The maroon could have torn a fin chasing the goby around. Just a guess
Kasasah
He could have rubbed against a rock and lost a little bit. I've Noticed that my clowns will rub on the rocks as well as my chromis. A snail or peppermint shrimp wouldn't bug him. The shrimp clean it but would do no harm.
SteveHash-fish20
Yeah, that's why I'm confused. Roommate thinks he rubbed as well so I'm hoping it was that
