Fast5oranger
20k bulbs seems a little too blue for my liking. My set-up is two 250 mh and two 110 watt vhos. Has anyone ever tried supplementing the 20k bulbs with 10k vho bulbs? Or would I be better off supplementing 14K mhs with actinic/454 vhos? Rick
If the 20k is too blue then I would switch to 14k or 15k since you will get better growth. Alternatively or additionally you can change the color using the VHO supplementation but I think you will be happier changing the MH first. MarkBirkett
If you have VHO bulbs that are blue (actinics) you could use a 10K halide bulb and the color balance would be less blue. Better coral growth also.
moovinfast
I would go with a 14k bulb and 454's if you didn't like the 20k.
