tangov559
just wondering if it's a good idea to have a clam on the sand in a 20H....lights are aquaticlife 4x24w t5...2blue+, aquablue, fuji....enough light? any experience ?
ReeFit
depends on size and type of clam but most clams will need food on top of light especially when they are young.
jgf86123
As long as it's over 3", I think that's the cut-off, you should be ok, that should be enough light.
tangov559
I was worried that at about 14 in down.. It may not b enough light. I want to make sure there is enough light to keep it's color
jgf86123
If you're worried enough, find a PAR meter you can borrow an check your light, then once you have the readings at various levels in your tank, you go from there.

jgf86123
It does, but, no one currently knows where it is, who has it, or how to get their hands on it LOL. Things have gotten a little convoluted with the BOD this year, it's been a wacky year lol.

ReeFit
I was worried that at about 14 in down.. It may not b enough light. I want to make sure there is enough light to keep it's color your clam will most likely die first before it loses all its color. I lost a clam under 4 4' t5's. now i have 6 but they are all under 250w halides.
