reef165
I got a couple 70 electronic ballasts off a demo job and am wondering if anyone has any 70 watt HQI bulbs that I can use. I also need to know if anyone has done a DIY retro fit with them and what they used for the "base" or whatever ya call it for HQI I know ya call it a mogel socket for the SE bulbs. Thanks, Eddie

AquaticEngineer
I run a pair of DIY 70w HQI's over my 15 gallon, I have several old bulbs laying around. Hit me up if u need a hand I think I have a spare socket too. Check out the 500w flood light fixtures from lowes or HD, u can use just about everything out of them except the bulb, and wire them to the ballast.
