gawf4fun
I went down to Monterey last week to celebrate my father's 80th birthday. He is a docent for the aquarium as well as a foreign language tour guide (German). Here are some pictures of some of the particularly stunning displays, including a 750+ gallon reef tank and a kelp forest display that you can sit and watch for hours. If you have never been, I'd highly recommend a visit to the Monterey area and certainly a day trip to the aquarium. Enjoy.

grassi
I've been there many times... Just amazing. For the lucky people who are gonna travel to Europe I also suggest the Genoa Aquarium (Italy) and the one in Valencia (Spain)

ThePremiumAquarium
Thanks for sharing the pics! I love that aquarium! One of my favorite places. When I went they had a really awesome Sunfish exhibit. Amazing creature.
gawf4fun
I'm delighted you all enjoyed the pictures. As everybody knows however, pictures don't really do justice to the exhibits themselves. You have to be there to appreciate the immensity of the displays, as well as the color, design, aquascaping, etc. I highly recommend you all get down there at some stage and plan to spend a day.
