Gill
Does anyone use terra cotta pots in thier tanks? Is thier any reason not too, assuming they are clean and unglazed. for that matter would it make any differance if they were glazed? Any thoughts on porcelain. moovinfast
I remember seeing some in someones tank for their clowns to lay eggs in. Don't remember who though.
newfisher
Dave aka Barleycuda uses them in all 12 or something tanks that the adult clowns are in. He has a small one for the male and a larger one for the female. I also remeber a tank thread where someone was using them for a similar reason, but aqua sacaped rock around them. I think they are safe. You might ask barelycuda if he soaked them for a few days in ro water or something before putting them in the tanks. Rick
Like this? This one and two others have been in my tank for over a year now.
Barelycuda
I have 22 pots in 11 tanks right now. I have a little 1g bucket in the sink in the garage that I run the waste RO water into it and flush them for a couple of days first. I've used them for 3 yrs now with no problems just soak them first. Dave
AC-k3v
Re: terra cotta? I grow out most of my mother colonies on TC plates. They are the plates that go under the pots Kevin
