sharoleb
I rec'd some corals in the mail today. I'm at work. Do you think they're ok in the box until 5pm? Thanks.
Lowman
What kind of corals are they? If they are sps, I would take a long lunch and go deal with them.
JasonH
Are they inside? (or you just confirmation that they were delivered and they are sitting on your front porch?) When did they ship? Are they in a styro box with heat packs? If they shipped overnight, are inside, and in a well packed box, you're probably okay. Otherwise, I'd go home during lunch and get them floated. Personally, I wouldn't risk it. I'd at least open the box and check to see that they look all right, and get them floating in your sump or DT - with the lights off. They are here on my desk, in a styrofoam box w/ a heat pack. I opened it, confirmed they are alive, and packed them back up. I work downtown PDX and trimet in. I didn't realize they would come in so early in the am, so didn't plan on leaving so early. I've looked online, and it would be 1.5 hours home and back. I thought about running them home and floating them, but I dont have a sump or DT, so they would be DIRECTLY under the lights all afternoon if I took them home. I thought i was all under control, but I guess I didn't plan very well for this. DOH! A small zoa frag and a maze frag.
