reef165
Has anyone bought a mh bulb off ebay? I seen a 20k 250watt bulb shipped for 20$ is it worth it? I know most things in general are built by one and four put there name on it to sell so I was just wondering.(scratch)

Lowman
I have heard that these bulbs will vary in actual kelvin from 2000k to 20000k, but they only last for at the most a month. It is better to spend the money on good bulbs. In my experience.

COReefer
LOL don't do it bro. That's all I can say. You get what you pay for. I paid for the worst cyano explosion I have ever seen. I bought 2 of them, they were 2 different colors one may have been 10k and the other one I would guess around 6k. I had to clean my glass of nastiness 2 times per day while I had these running. Not a good investment at all. If you are going to do that, you may as well slap a few 100 watt incandescents up in a canopy and call it good. Just my .02 from experience

Lowman
I wouldn't trust my tank, that I have spent thousands of dollars on, to cheap knock off bulbs. I have tried to do things cheap and the only thing I have found when I go cheap is misery. I hope, really and truly hope, that those bulbs work out. I wonder if Sanjay has tested any of these bulbs................
