  1. Can I get mine in progressive bifocals?
  2. Scott: I don't think it sounds crazy. It doesn't seem to have any down sides and it might pick up you up a few clients if you offered it. As a second option you might invest in a one room musical school house, like the one I saw sitting outside of a local music store yesterday.
  3. According to their website the City of Salem has several parks that have facilities that can be reserved. http://www.cityofsalem.net/Departments/CommunityServices/ParksManagement/ParkReservations/Pages/ReservingaParkArea.aspx The Cascades Gateway Park is just off I-5 and has several lakes. I haven't been to any of them, but maybe some of our Salem members have or could take a look for us. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Salem&state=OR&address=2100+Turner+Rd Bob
  4. Mudskipper Pictures Joel: Thanks for having us down Friday afternoon. It was great fun to see your coldwater tank again and especially the mudskipper tank. The world could use many more teachers with your dedication and enthusiasm. Here are some pictures of Joel's Skippers.
  5. Scott: Thanks for the advice. I have thought of taking lessons. The problem is I can't find one that does house calls, between the time my daughter goes to bed and when I fall in bed. I did the next best thing I could think of. I bought a guitar stand and set it next to the TV. That way any time I spend staring at the TV, my guitar stares back at me, pleading to be picked up. So far it has worked pretty well. Bob
  6. Too bad I don't live closer to Portland, or maybe we could work something out. I've been trying to teach myself America/Folk fingerstyle for the last year. It's just like reefkeeping, nothing good happens fast. You don't happen to know of any local fingerstyle guitar websites?? Bob
  7. Joel: I will check tomorrow and make sure they still in reasonable shape and then I could drop them off one evening this week or next weekend sometime. Bob
  8. Dennis: You are right. The two 20's are from them. Nobody has asked for them for the T4T program, so I thought I would see if anybody wants them. I'll drop a note to RoseCity and see if they can use them. Right now they are just taking up space. Bob

  10. We have a couple of small glass tanks that are available for any teacher that wants them: 10 gallon 18T drilled for over flow. 2 x 20 gallon drilled for overflow. Bob
  11. Does the power strip have a fuse/breaker in it?
  12. Sounds like a good start to a lesson on experimental evolution, or lack there of.
  13. Dennis: Have you looked at the articles by Randy Holmes-Farley? He has written a number of articles describing the kind of issues that you describe. Here is one that I find useful: http://web.archive.org/web/20021127040526/http://www.advancedaquarist.com/issues/nov2002/chem.htm. Bob
