beansandmia
These are the best pic's that I can get, are these guys the bad polyp eating kind? [/img] [/img]
ThePremiumAquarium
One can never really say for sure unless witness to polyp loss, but they sure do look like zoanthid eating nudis to me. I had a zoa rock come in with some once. Luckily I noticed them quickly and got rid of them even quicker. Take care and good luck. spectra
Yes those look like the ones. I just went throught the same thing. Keep looking for them also look for eggs. You can dip your zoanthids but it will not touch the eggs.
impur
eek i hate that sight!! Yep, zoa eating nudis. Time to QT and do some weekly dips for at least 4 weeks. RO water and lugols should do the trick, scrape off any eggs you find. Good luck!
beansandmia
I find these guys about two a week, I inspect my zoes daily, once during the morning then again late at night and a few times during the day, I have seen the eggs and used a razor blade. beansandmia
To be honest I have no idea which person I got it from gave me these, I have bought a lot of frags from people.
impur
You should also start a dipping procedure prior to putting new corals into the tank. I dip everything no matter who it came from. I even dip when moving stuff from my QT to my display i'm that paranoid.
defigart
Impur, What do you dip them in? How do you dip them?
impur
For nudis i would use RO water with some Lugols for 10-15 min once a week for 5 weeks.
